Who are we?
Urgent Pest Control is a professionally certified and insured company, providing extermination and preventative solutions for domestic and commercial properties across the East Midlands, including Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Mansfield, Lincoln and surrounding areas. We are local, independent pest control specialists who provide a reliable, fast, and discreet service. We undertake services for all types of customers such as domestic households and commercial properties. We work with a limited number of trusted partners, and we may refer such pest control services to them to undertake.
Why do we collect personal data?
We collect personal data from you for one or more of the following purposes:
To provide you with information that you have requested or that we think may be relevant to a subject in which you have demonstrated an interest. To initiate and complete commercial transactions with you, or the entity that you represent, for the purchase of services. To fulfil a contract that we have entered into with you or with the entity that you represent. In these circumstances it may be your entity, rather than yourself, that has provided us with your personal data. To support one of our clients who may be a data controller for your information. To ensure the security and safe operation of our company website and business infrastructure. To undertake the procured service such as pest control service and waste disposal. To facilitate and manage any communication between you and us.
What type of information do we collect?
Any personal and special category information that is relevant to the services we are providing; in most cases this will be provided by the data controller or the data subject.
Technical Data; this may include internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
All data is treated confidentially at all times. All of our staff and contractors have experience in handling sensitive data and are bound by UK data protection laws.

Right to prevent automatic decisions – you have the right to challenge a decision that affects you that has been made automatically without human intervention, for example an online form with an instant decision. Please note that we do not currently undertake any automatic decisions.
Who we share information with
In accordance with our legitimate interests, we may share your information with our trusted partners and contractors. We may contract pest control service jobs to our subcontractors. We will only share data with such partners where there are strict contractual terms in place for how to handle such data, and all processing must be compliant with UK data protection legislation. Where required to by law we need to share information with statutory agencies such as the Police and regulatory bodies such as the Information Commissioner’s Office. We share details of financial transactions with HMRC. Where necessary we may share data with suppliers such as data protection consultants and IT consultants.
International transfers
Some of the third-party services we use, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, may process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and Google’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to make it work properly, to understand how it is used, and (where you consent) to support our marketing. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, approximate location (derived from IP address, which is not stored by GA4), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
Advertising cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and, where relevant, to show you more relevant advertising on other websites. Where we run advertising campaigns we may use Google Ads for this purpose.
Google Consent Mode
Our website uses Google Consent Mode, which means Google’s analytics and advertising tags only collect personal data and set cookies after you have given consent through our cookie banner. If you decline, these tags receive a “denied” signal and will not store identifiers or read information from your device for analytics or advertising purposes.
Google signals and Ads Personalisation
Where Google signals is enabled on our Google Analytics property, and where you are signed in to a Google account with Ads Personalisation switched on, Google may associate the data collected on our site with information from your Google account. This is used to provide us with aggregated insights such as cross-device reporting, demographics and interests, and to support audience features in Google Ads. We do not receive any personally identifying information from Google through this process.
You can review, manage and delete the activity Google associates with your account at any time by visiting myactivity.google.com. You can also adjust your Ads Personalisation settings at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Data retention
In Google Analytics, user-level and event-level data is retained for the period configured on our Analytics property (currently 14 months). Aggregated reporting data is retained by Google indefinitely. Cookies set by our website expire after a defined period, after which they are automatically deleted; the duration varies by cookie and is listed in our cookie banner’s detailed view.
Browser controls
You can use your web browser to delete all cookies, block all cookies, allow all cookies, block third-party cookies (i.e. cookies set by online services other than the one you are visiting), clear all cookies when you close the browser, open a private browsing or incognito session, and install add-ons and plugins that extend browser functionality.
